Why We Exist
More than fifty years ago, a small group of Elk River business leaders saw something clearly:
the future of their community depended on businesses working together.
In 1968, eleven local leaders came together—not for recognition, but for progress. They understood that strong businesses create jobs, support families, and fuel a community’s growth. That belief became the foundation of the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce.
Today, that same spirit continues.
We exist to bring people together, to amplify the voice of business, and to create opportunities that help companies grow stronger than they could on their own. Whether it’s navigating change, building relationships, finding trusted resources, or shaping policies that impact the local economy, the Chamber stands alongside businesses at every stage.
