Community Leadership

Developing informed, connected leaders for the Elk River area

The Community Leadership Program is the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce’s flagship leadership development experience, designed to educate, connect, and inspire individuals who want to make a meaningful impact in our community.

With nearly 350 graduates, this immersive, cohort-based program has helped professionals, business owners, and community members gain a deeper understanding of the Elk River area while building the confidence, relationships, and insight needed to lead effectively.

Why Community Leadership?

This program goes beyond professional development. Participants gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of how our community works—and how they can play a role in shaping its future.

Graduates consistently report that the program:

  • Builds leadership self-awareness and confidence
  • Strengthens connections across industries and sectors
  • Expands understanding of local government, education, and business
  • Sparks long-term civic involvement and board service

This is experiential learning at its best—engaging, practical, and rooted in real community issues.
